31 Days of Gratitude – Day 12

My son is home safe and sound! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™. I will definitely sleep a lot better tonight. He is off again in a few days but today we celebrate his safe return!

I just discovered that I failed one of my exams. Not quite a surprise. I guess next year I will have to really focus on it. I enjoy the subject but I just have not enjoyed writing the exams. Next year will be different though.

Today is my granโ€™s heavenly birthday. She left us 39 years ago but I still remember her so clearly. Her name was Molly. She was small in stature and very quiet but boy was she a strong person. She was clearly an awesome mother too judging by how her kids turned out. I know that she is always watching over us and for this I am grateful. I am also very grateful to her for giving us our dad. We are because she was. ๐Ÿ™

31 Days of Gratitude- Day 11

A couple of things are going on in my world right now that require me to have a lot of faith in God. It always amazes and delights me to see His hand in action. I have to admit that initially I was trying to control everything and stressing about outcomes. On Friday night I just decided to let go and surrender to what is and whadda you know, today, things started falling into place. I am so grateful for this.

31 Days of Gratitude: Day 10

Today I am grateful that I had some time to myself. I slept most of the morning away after doing what I needed to do. As a single mum, alone time is not easy to come by. I remember when my son was still a baby and a toddler. I didnโ€™t have much of a support system around me so I had to steal naps where I could. I was so exhausted but I soldiered on.

Now that he is a teen, I still have to steal naps because he will disturb me if I donโ€™t tell him that I am napping first or if I nap for too long for his liking. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ In case you failed to notice from all this, I luuuurve my sleep๐Ÿ˜‚ so itโ€™s no surprise that I am super grateful for days like today. Thank you for the opportunity to take an undisturbed nap Lord.
