Quote of the day: Saturday

“Hope looks forward. Faith knows it has already received and acts accordingly.” — Florence Shinn

This quote brought it all together for me yesterday. It was like the last piece of the puzzle (that I didn’t even realise was missing by the way) fell into place. Isn’t it amazing how you can hear or see something over and over and believe that you understand it. You think you get it and then one day, you realise that you did not get it at all because you were still struggling and still searching for answers. One day it all just makes sense💡. It’s as if the chains around you just drop to the ground and you feel free. You move forward in faith. You feel joyous and at peace.

Quote of the day: Friday

“Every moment and every event of every man’s life on earth plants something in his soul.”

Thomas Merton

I am reading The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav. One of his messages is very similar to this. The thought that struck me though was that often we are so busy tip-toeing around others and trying not to upset their egos that we compromise ourselves in the process. What are we planting in our own souls every time we do that? Mindfulness and self-love are so important to ensure that we keep vibrating at higher levels so that we can draw positive experiences to ourselves and uplift others at the same time.
