Something on your “to-do list” that never gets done.

Oh Dear Gentle Readers, where shall I start! And yes, I just watched the first four episodes of S4 of Bridgerton. (Have you watched it? What did you think?) One of the distractions that I allow in my life 🙂

Let’s see…there are three items on my to-do list that I allow myself to be pulled away from:

1. My Garden

I long to have a beautiful little well planned garden that has splashes of colour throughout the year. This takes time and research which I just have not made the time to do. I have a garden but it is a very green garden with very few colourful flowers. I am very inspired by two of my neighbours’ gardens. I am determined that this is the year that I get that planning and planting done!

2. Writing That Book

I know, this one is on a lot of people’s lists. I started this blog to gain confidence in my writing, which I have, but I still can’t get passed the first page or two of a book. I have no idea when that will happen.

3. Starting my business

This one is probably the most urgent of the three but still I have not lifted a finger. I have even listed it last. ´The reality is that it takes time and effort, which I still have not committed to internally. I guess I will get there when I get there. I need to work at becoming a morning person because I am way too tired in the evening to much done.

Of course as Jack Kornfield says, I think I have time but time is moving on anyway. What’s it gonna take to get yourself moving Michelle??? With any luck, I will have a great story to share by the end of the year.

Thanks for popping by.

Bye for now!

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be a dancer. I love how good moving to music makes me feel. I also love how carefree and creative it looks and feel. I can spend a ton of time on instagram watching videos dancers. They are so expressive and they always look like they are having the time of their lives. I did do ballet as a kid (and loved it!) but I really wanted to do contemporary dance.

So the job I would love to do for a day is to be a freestyle dancer. I would love to feel the bass pulsing through my body and directing my every move. I would dance to the remix of “I’m coming out” by Diana Ross. That song just lifts my vibrations. I would love to participate in a dance competition. I love the creative way in which the dancers in how they interpret the music. I love the attitude that they show while dancing. Most of all, the hype man and the crowds are such a vibe!

What are your favorite brands and why?

While I am not a marketer, I work with a few brands everyday. I try not to let them rule my life but there are some brands that I do enjoy using and will veer towards ever so often.

My favourite tech brand is Apple. I love the simplicity of their products and how long they last. They are great value for money. My love affair with Apple products began with an iPod and now I just don’t have a VR headset and a HomePod although the HomePod is definitely on my list for this year.

When it comes to perfumes, I love Chanel fragrances with my favourite being Coco Mademoiselle. I always have a bottle in my wardrobe.

I am not too fussy about clothing brands although I would wear Chanel if I could afford it.

I love the brand I bank with! They are pretty digitally savvy which I find extremely convenient. I don’t ever have to go inside a bank. Their app is also very intuitive so it’s easy to use.

My go to body care brand is Dove. I love their fragrances and how gentle and moisturizing the products are. I feel like my personal care routine is a daily pampering session when I use these products.

Let’s not forget brand Michelle! I am my most favourite brand of them all because I am worth loving.

That’s about the sum total of my favourite brands. What are your favourite brands?
