Quote of the day: Friday

“No one is kept poor because other people have monopolized the wealth and have put a fence around it. You may be shut off from engaging in business in certain lines, but there are other channels open to you.”

____Wallace D. Wattles

I am currently reading the complete collection of Wallace D. Wattles’ work. These two lines made me think of Tyler Perry’s acceptance speech at the BET Awards where he said: “While everybody else is fighting for a seat at the table, talking about ‘OscarsSoWhite, OscarsSoWhite,’ I said, ‘Y’all go ahead and do that. While you’re fighting for a seat at the table, I’ll be down in Atlanta building my own.’ Because what I know for sure is that if I could just build this table, God will prepare it for me in the presence of my enemies.”

So go ahead and build your own table. You are worthy. And when you are done, use it to help others cross and build their own.

If you haven’t listened to the full speech, you can do so here. It’s 4 minutes packed with powerful inspiration.

Quote of the day: Wednesday

“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.”

___Les Brown

After posting this quote on Instagram, I clicked on @lawofattractionlive’s Instagram Story. Their affirmation of the day is “My dreams are far more important than my fears. I keep going no matter what”. I don’t know about you but I am taking it as a sign that I need to push ahead with dreams relentlessly. 😊
