31 Days of Gratitude: Day 22

22/12/2021

🌼Sometimes, when I least expect it, I get these little reminders that my son is growing up. They jar my brain a bit. They other day his phone went to voicemail. He had set up his mailbox before his voice broke. I wasn’t expecting to hear his little boy voice and I almost burst into tears.

This evening I walked past the table and saw his wallet next to my car keys and my first thought was: “what man is in the house” and then I realised what I was looking at.

My baby is growing up. I don’t know if I will ever be ready for each milestone. I am however grateful that I do get to witness each one and help him through them too. 🌼

31 Days of Gratitude: Day 11

11/12/2021

🌼Today I am grateful for the time spent with my son and the opportunity to spoil him. I love surprising my son with a bit of spoiling. I feel his energy lift and it absolutely lifts mine to see him happy. Today we went to the mall to get a few necessities and ended up having lunch at one of our favourite restaurants as well as walking out with lots of stuff we hadn’t planned on buying. 🙈😁We had so much fun! It was also great to spend some time with him. He is at that age where he lives to play online with his friends and family so I hardly ever get to see him. It was so good to spend the day with him. Today I am grateful for the time spent with my son and the opportunity to spoil him just a little bit. 🌼

31 Days of Gratitude

07/12/2021

🌼Today I am thankful for my parents. They were married on this day 49 years ago. They provided for my sisters and I, gave us love and educated us. We did not have a lot but, and it has taken me a long time to realise this, we had everything that we needed. So today I say thank you to my mum, who is now late, and my dad for being the best parents that you knew how to be. I am who I am because you loved and raised me. Thank you. 🌼
