31 Days of Gratitude- Day 7

The most important thing that I am grateful for today is that my son arrived safely at his destination. Thank you Lord. It is also t-31 days to the 50th anniversay of my birth! I am very excited to be turning 50! A whole new decade to look forward to. I wonder what fabulous surprises await me:)

As I look back on this year, I am also grateful for the things that didn’t happen. One of those being that I didn’t find a house that I could afford at the beginning of the year. Had I done so, I probably would be living on bread and jam right now to make my bond repayments due to the continous rate increases. God definitely had my back with that one. We also would not have gotten to meet the new kittens. There is one in particular that my son just adores. He calls him Lando.

With my son away, I get to have a little bit of me time which is a real blessing. I miss him when he is not here but I really don’t miss having to worry about what to cook for dinner every day…lol. I am definitely grateful for my me time.

31 Days of Gratitude- Day 6

Today I went into the office. We are very very fortunate to work in the building that we do. It is beautiful! We are also blessed with amazing views of the sea and we have a garden downstairs, where you can enjoy your cappuchino from the coffee shop and lunch from the canteen. Both are subsidised so we pay less than we would at a normal coffee shop and restaurant. Let’s not forget that the reason I have pretty nails every day is because we have a salon on site as well. We are very spoilt in terms of our work facilities.

As you can see, I can’t be blamed for gazing out the window often. It’s too beautiful out there to ignore. I am very grateful to work in such a stunning and inspiring environment and for such an awesome company.

31 Days of Gratitude 2022-Day 5

Today I went for a walk in the late afternoon with my friend. We had her 2 year old son with us. He is a ball of energy, absolutely adorable and super smart. About a km away from her house, the weather changed. The wind started howling. We were pelted with fine sand and big drops of rain started to fall.

In stead of being afraid, my friend’s son was thrilled to experience this change in weather. He started shouting and calling out everything he was experiencing. We are so addicted to our walk that the rain never stops my friend and I but I don’t think we appreciate the experience as much as we did today. Fortunately it was just a few drops today so her little man didn’t get soaked. The point, though, is that we got to experience Mother Nature through the eyes of a child and that is always a delightful experience. I am grateful.
