A month of gratitude: Day 24

🌼I am grateful for the opportunity to keep the magic of Christmas going for one more year for my son. I am so close to pulling this off. He is downstairs monitoring the Christmas tracker with a beady eye. Definitely a bit sceptical but not ready to give up believing in Santa yet. I had to phone a friend to get him out of the house so I could get his gifts from the car and wrap it. I have now snuck them close to the tree so that when the opportunity strikes, they will magically appear under the tree. Crossing my fingers I don’t get caught. I think I am more excited than him! I am grateful for the opportunity to keep the magic of Christmas going for one more year for my son. 🌼

A month of gratitude: Day 23

🌼I am grateful for the little things. This evening I decided to do a soak off of my gel nails at home for the first time. (Ok ok truth be told I forgot to make an appointment and actually had no choice🤦🏽‍♀️). I enlisted the help of my little man. What a lot of fun we had wrapping my nails in foil and then trying to remove the gel from my nails. He went into “beauty parlour mode” and had his “southern belle” accent down pat. He had me in stitches. I think he needs drama classes. Best hour of the day! I am grateful for the little things. 🌼

A month of gratitude: Day 22

🌼I am grateful that I am an emotional being. I watched Ford vs Ferrari earlier with my son. I didn’t expect it to conjure up so many different emotions in me. There was love, laughter, adrenaline, anger and sadness. All experienced in the space of 2+ hours. What a great movie! I am glad to feel my emotions fully. Sometimes I speak “out of turn” because of it but such is life and that is me. Take it or leave it. Emotions make my life experiences richer and more memorable. I am grateful that I am an emotional being.🌼
