“But clutter and mess show us that life is being lived. Clutter is wonderfully fertile ground—you can still discover new treasures under all those piles, clean things up, edit things out, fix things, get a grip. Tidiness suggests that something is as good as it’s going to get. Tidiness makes me think of held breath, of suspended animation, while writing needs to breathe and move. “
Anne Lamott (Bird by bird: some instructions on writing and life)
I am a clutter bug. It works for me. I have always aspired to neat and tidy perfection because it looks good but I am at my best when surrounded by a degree of clutter. I could never explain why until I came across this quote while reading this book by Anne Lamont. It just sums it up perfectly for me 😃.
P.S. The best part about having clutter is that you can clean it up when you are in procrastination mode and feel like you have been productive 😜. What do tidy people do when they need to procrastinate???? Rearrange everything?

Lol! You haven’t seen me defrost and clean a fridge the day before an exam that I still need to study for😝😆
