Rhythm is life and life is Rhythm

I don’t remember what song that was from and I am too lazy to look it up right now but it sums up how I feel about music. I love music because I love dancing if that makes sense.

My playlist is filled with the songs that I danced to in the club back in the day with awesome friends, family and acquaintances. I listen to them every day in the car. I see that quite a few has crept on to my son’s playlist too now🤭

My old party songs

“The times you lived through, the people you shared those times with – nothing brings it all to life like an old mix tape. It does a better job of storing up memories than actual brain tissue can do. Every mix tape tells a story. Put them together, and they can add up to the story of a life.”

Rob Sheffield

I guess to todays playlists are the equivalents of mixtapes. 😊

The songs that lift my spirit

Music also helps me remain grateful and feel closer to God. So I have a playlist for that as well. On that note, I will love and leave you with this quote from the great man himself, Louis Armstrong

“Music is life itself.”

  1. I can’t imagine life without music, can you? In my first three years of college, I majored in music therapy. I learned how to apply its benefits to every part of my life… especially to my daily work for 36 years in s hoops with students and teachers. And yes, nothing conjures up memories better than music! 🎶
