“I am convinced that the jealous, the angry, the bitter and the egotistical are the first to race to the top of mountains. A confident person enjoys the journey, the people they meet along the way and sees life not as a competition. They reach the summit last because they know God isn’t at the top waiting for them. He is down below helping His followers to understand that the view is glorious where ever you stand.”Shannon L. Alder
My cousin and I were just discussing something similar yesterday as we were greeted with the most beautiful sunset while driving home. Everyday we are blessed with the most beautiful views that God has provided and the most amazing people. We are often so caught up in our own thoughts or so busy on our gadgets that we fail to notice it all. We get so caught up in comparing ourselves to the person standing next to, in front of, or behind us, that we forget to see the beauty in them and acknowledge and honour that. We don’t even do it for the person we see in the mirror. Today, and everyday henceforth, I encourage you to stop and take a moment to notice and bless the beauty of the world around you and inside of you and those around you.
