A pic is worth a thousand words

Photography is definitely on my list of skills I wish I had. I have been fortunate enough to go on a course and during lockdown I dialled into and Apple hosted course on iPhone photography. I learned a lot but didn’t apply it often enough.

That being said, there is one picture that I took of my son about 2-3 years ago that makes my heart sing. He looks so carefree and happy to my eye. I love looking at it. We were just messing around on a Saturday evening in the mall. It’s not often he lets me take a pic of him so when he offered to pose, I wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity!

My favourite pic of my son

I suspect live subjects might be more my thing than landscapes although I would really love to be a landscape photographer. I love taking pics of nature but I just never seem to capture the beauty that my eyes see. (If that makes sense).

Below is a pic of our beautiful curious George that I took about a month ago. This kitty has my heart. Maybe that is why I do better with live subjects, there is a piece of my heart that goes into it. Perhaps, subconsciously, I hope that the pictures I take convey the words that I can’t or may not say often enough. Who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️. #loveliveshere

What do you like to take pictures of?

    1. Lol. Thanks for picking that up. George is approximately 3 months old. His mum arrived at our door with her 5 kittens when there were about 3 weeks old and George and his sister Georgina, are still with us. Their siblings were taken in by others in our complex.

  1. I love taking pictures, but most are not very good. There are tricks to taking pictures of living things. I used to raise and sell horses, a very hard subject to photograph and keep all the body looking correct. When I see or experience something, I capture the moment in a photograph. I love the picture of your son, it expresses the fun he was having that day, and himself.
